2. Services Offered
Chesshika provides:
- Online chess training programs and batches for rated players.
- Level assessments, performance tracking, and advanced learning resources.
- Coaching by certified titled players (FM, IM, GM) based on batch strength and availability.
All courses and batches are subject to availability and internal scheduling policies.
3. Eligibility
Enrollment is open only to rated chess players as per the eligibility criteria listed for each program. Students must provide accurate details during registration, including FIDE/Online rating, name, and valid contact information. Chesshika reserves the right to deny or revoke admission if eligibility criteria are not met or if false information is provided.
4. Enrollment and Payments
Admission to any Chesshika program is confirmed only upon successful payment of the required fees. All payments made to Chesshika are final and non-refundable, as per our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Payments can be made through secure online gateways provided on our official website. Any failure of payment processing due to external factors (bank, network issues, etc.) is the responsibility of the student.
5. Class Schedules and Attendance
Class timings, schedules, and coach assignments are managed solely by the Chesshika academic team. Students must attend sessions on time using the provided online platform. Missed classes by students will not be rescheduled or refunded. In case of cancellation from the academy’s side (e.g., coach unavailability or technical issues), Chesshika will arrange a replacement or rescheduled class at its discretion.
6. Code of Conduct
All students and parents are expected to maintain respectful behavior during classes, tournaments, and communications. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Use of abusive or disrespectful language.
- Sharing of meeting links or class recordings.
- Unauthorized recording, reproduction, or distribution of class content.
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of access without refund.
7. Intellectual Property
All course materials, lesson plans, images, videos, and other resources shared by Chesshika are the intellectual property of Chesshika. Students may not copy, share, or reproduce any content for commercial or personal distribution. Violation of intellectual property rights may lead to legal action under applicable Indian laws.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Chesshika respects your privacy and protects your personal data under the Information Technology Act (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures) Rules, 2011. Personal details are used only for admission, communication, and academic purposes. Data is never shared with third parties without consent, except when required by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
Chesshika shall not be held responsible for technical failures, internet connectivity issues, or device problems on the student’s side. The academy’s liability is limited only to providing the agreed number of instructional sessions under the enrolled program. Chesshika is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from service use.
10. Modifications to Terms
Chesshika reserves the right to update, modify, or replace any part of these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the website or services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India.
